House Of Mythology Newsletter (15/02/16)

Dear friends of house,

time to announce, again with a great deal of pride, two upcoming releases on House of Mythology:‚Äč

HOM 003: Laniakea – A Pot of Powdered Nettles

Named after the galactic supercluster, Laniakea is the celestial music duo of Daniel O'Sullivan (Ulver etc.) and Massimo Pupillo (Zu). Cosmic hymns and atomised riffs slowed and stretched to unveil a pantheon of sound drawing on a rich tapestry of influences ranging from the plainchant of Hildegard von Bingen to Alice Coltrane's Ashram tapes to the monolithic bass frequencies of Godflesh. Laniakea investigates the micro and the macro in hermetic ubiquity. As above so below.

HOM 004: Stian Westerhus – Amputation

Stian Westerhus is a Norwegian experimental guitarist who has previously played with Nils Petter Molvær Trio and Jaga Jazzist and has collaborated with many notable musicians such as Sidsel Endresen, Supersilent and Motorpsycho. He has released a slew of critically acclaimed solo albums on Rune Grammofon, the last as Stian Westerhus & the Pale Horses in 2014. He returns this year with an album of heavy abstract and, quite frankly, stunning beauty for House of Mythology.

No definite release date for these two has been set yet, we are delivering all the parts to the pressing plant these days and are waiting for word on expected delivery times etc. We will be back with more information, audio excerpts and pre-order links etc. on both these fantastic releases soon.

Good dawning to thee, friends.
